Wood is the raw material of sustainability, During growth, wood removes the harmful greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The CO2 remains bound in the wood throughout its entire useful life.


Glue-laminated timber (beams, columns, walls and slabs) is the main load-bearing member of load-bearing timber structures, and can also be used in mixed designs with reinforced concrete and steel structures. In today's structural design, there is an increasing trend of cases where wood is used to meet design requirements. At the same time, due to the increasingly severe climate and environmental problems, the importance of wood materials is increasing day by day.

Full-thread screws are an economical alternative to gluing in steel rods or gluing on boards or strips made of wood-based materials. They are usually inserted at right angles to the grain of the wood. The table on this page summarizes some possible uses.


For example, in the case of connections with several dowels lying one behind the other, there is a risk of the wood splitting before the actual load-bearing capacity of the dowels is reached. Therefore, for example, with five consecutive dowels, not all, but only 3.6 dowels can be considered effective if the minimum distances are observed. However, if splitting is prevented by full-thread screws screwed in at the side, the full load-bearing capacity of all fasteners can be used.

Construction planning up to the realization of buildings


Performances:

Design planning level: development, planning and design of architectural projects (architects), execution planning --structural design (structural engineer) and planning of technical building equipment TGA (MEP engineer).


Technical aspects of the construction project: realization, repair, maintenance and demolition of construction projects.


Objects: the building itself and its interior design, outdoor facilities, civil engineering and transport facilities. For example – building and civil engineering of residential buildings, event venues, warehouses, bridge, road, railway systems and energy supply facilities.


Main business: Creating professional construction plans for the structural level of construction projects and working closely with MEP engineers to create a detailed construction design for details. The work tasks / services according to HOAI are as follows:

  • Implementation planning,
  • preparation of the award,
  • participation in the awarding of contracts,
  • Object monitoring.


Business support: Working with architects to complete the following HOAI construction services for clients:

  • Basic determination,
  • Preliminary planning with cost estimates,
  • Design planning incl. calculation,
  • Approval planning.


The above-mentioned construction services can be entrusted as an individual service according to the wishes of the customer. For example, the client commissions the architect to apply for a building permit and then entrusts us with the planning and implementation of the construction project.

Studies (2008) and graduation (2014) in the faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Stuttgart, Germany, with a focus on structural engineering and construction management. Working at the same time at the Materials Testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart (MPA Uni Stuttgart) – Institute for Timber Structures. During this time I understand the profound knowledge of how building materials, especially those made of wood materials, are processed and manufactured. Using highly developed processing technology, the wood raw materials are produced quantitatively and qualitatively in series and the mechanical requirements are maintained. It is also understood that the exploitation / use of wood-based materials has a positive impact on our environment.


Diploma studies were completed in 12 semesters. During the studies, the goal of the research team is the development of composite structures (combination of wood, concrete, steel) with currently existing concepts. On the one hand, it can meet the mechanical requirements, on the other hand, through environmentally conscious design planning and the use of sustainable materials, it can reduce the burden of developing construction projects on our earth and environment. My understanding of such a concept is: "The use of environmentally friendly building materials can create a comfortable living environment for us". This understanding also serves as a guideline for business development.


In addition to the studies and experience in the well-known European timber construction research institute mentioned above, I also have several years of professional experience in the structural and civil engineering sector. Previously worked in civil engineering offices, a specialist company for temporary construction of bridges and roads and the civil engineering department for substations of the German branch of the French Vinci Group. Currently working as a civil engineer / site manager at one of the world renowned German car manufacturers in Stuttgart Germany.
